Blown Away
In collaboration with the Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra, 4DSOUND hosted the main stage of Blown Away Festival 2013.
For the event, 4DSOUND designed a large-scale omnidirectional sound system for a 5000 people audience and curated a series of spatial sound experiences engaging the listeners with the orchestra in new ways.
The programme included generative spatial sound sculptures based on the orchestra’s sound, classical compositions by Tchaikovsky, Rachmaninoff and Shostakovich extended with a spatial listening dimension and musical encounters between the orchestra and electronic musicians such as Stimming and Secret Cinema.
