Kemenche player and composer Emine Bostancı offers a powerful vision of what AI can mean for music with Echoing Travelogues: The Beyond and Us, an immersive project that uses state-of-the-art acoustic modelling and 4DSOUND technology to transport audiences to historical locations across Vienna, Istanbul, and Isfahan.

Blending traditional Eastern and Western instruments, atmospheric visuals, and research-driven soundscapes, the performance explores how travel and migration shape cultural and musical identities asking whether our search for the “other” ultimately reveals aspects of ourselves. 

Emine is joined by members of the Dareyn Ensemble (Nizar Rohana, Khorshid Dadbeh, and Vincent Planjer) and guest musicians from Holland Baroque: Judith and Tineke Steenbrink. The performance is present within the International Chamber Music Festival, in Utrecht’s Rhytm of the World Series - curated by the Utrecht composer Nawras Altaky.
