Lobe Studio
Founded in Vancouver, Canada in 2020, Lobe is the first dedicated spatial sound studio in North America to work with a permanently integrated 4DSOUND system. Lobe operates as both a place to create in spatial sound and a space for the presentation of new work.
An array of speakers across the ceiling and under the floor, in conjunction with custom-designed vibroacoustic floor panels, envelop the listener in a unique and visceral listening experience. Using 4DSOUND technology, sound ebbs and flows seamlessly around, above, under and inside the room.
Sound artists Kate De Lorme and Edo Van Breemen founded Inscapes Spatial Sound, the parent company of Lobe, which focuses on immersive sound presentations, meditative experiences and has a special interest in the healing qualities of spatial sound.
