MONOM
MONOM is an experimental performance venue and spatial sound recording studio located at the historic Funkhaus Berlin, housing the first 4DSOUND system and unique stage construction as designed and built in Amsterdam in 2012.
At MONOM, up to 400 people can be immersed inside a big scale omnidirectional system with speakers distributed in 16 equally spaced columns across the room, with subwoofers placed beneath an acoustically transparent floor.
MONOM hosts artist residencies and public performances, exploring spatial sound as an expressive medium through the use of 4DSOUND’s software and hardware.
