SANE - Spatial Audio Network Europe
4DSOUND is a key collaborator in the Spatial Audio Network Europe (SANE), a project dedicated to transforming the landscape of immersive 3D audio, led by ZiMMT (Center for immersive media art, music and technology association). As a pioneer in spatial sound technology, 4DSOUND contributes its expertise to help develop a real-time spatial streaming standard, enabling audiences to experience the same 3D performance across multiple venues throughout Europe simultaneously. This innovation marks a significant advancement in the presentation of live immersive concerts.
In addition to the technical contributions, SANE is committed to supporting artistic innovation. Through the residencies offered by SANE, artists are given the opportunity to explore and experiment with spatial audio. The compositions created through this residency programme will be presented in 2025 during a hybrid immersive concert tour, streamed live to partner venues across Europe, bringing cutting-edge spatial sound experiences to new audiences.
Beyond technological advancements, SANE aims to establish a sustainable, ecologically responsible network for spatial audio, ensuring the continued growth and evolution of this exciting field.
