Warehouse Elementenstraat
Throughout 2015, 4DSOUND was stationed at Warehouse Elementenstraat, one of the most influential spaces for club culture in Amsterdam from the 90’s onwards.
At the Warehouse, 4DSOUND curated a series of experimental club nights under the name ‘Techno is Space’ with artists such as Mike Parker, Oscar Mulero and Dasha Rush adapting their signature sound into a fully spatial experience.
Working with a custom touchscreen controller designed by 4DSOUND, the artists could play with key spatio-temporal attributes of sound both in production and performance: reverbs, delays, spatial movement paths, dimensions of individual sound sources and on-the-fly looping, providing a hybrid spatial DJ-production tool.
