Whether you're just beginning to explore spatial audio or looking to expand your existing skills, we welcome your curiosity and creativity. No prior experience with spatial audio is required to apply, just a passion for sound and a willingness to experiment and collaborate with other participants.
Designed for artists, musicians, and creatives from all backgrounds, this intensive experience offers a unique opportunity to explore the creative potential of the 4DSOUND system and Engine; a cutting-edge platform that's transforming how we create and experience sound.

What you’ll gain:
- In-Depth Technical Skills and Creative Tools: Learn the foundations of spatial sound design, live spatial performance, and the creation of sonic sculptures using the advanced 4DSOUND Suite.
- Real-World Experience: Hands-on access to a 16.2 4DSOUND system, supported by expert guidance from core members of our team including artists and engineers.
- Creative Expansion: Enhance your own practice, whether in music, performance, architecture, VR, dance, therapy, or beyond, by learning to sculpt sound in space and pursue new creative horizons.
- 4DSOUND Toolkit & Documentation: One-year 4DSOUND R&D Suite license, along with an in-depth onboarding session and user guide to get you started. Apart from that, you'll also be connected to the global 4DSOUND network, receive detailed documentation of your workshop journey, including high-quality spatial audio recordings, stereo mixdowns, and photography, and a certificate of completion.
- Visibility & Collaboration: Present your final work-in-progress at a public event and become part of the growing 4DSOUND archive, connecting with fellow artists and professionals in the field.

- Deadline to apply: July 21 for regular tickets, June 30 for subsidized tickets. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis. Early submission is encouraged! (12 spots available in total)
- Onboarding session (online): August 18
- On-Site Training: August 25 – 29 (Amsterdam, NL)
- Final Showcase: August 29

What’s Included:
- Full access to a 16.2 4DSOUND system with dedicated support from our knowledgeable and specialized team.
- Access to an in-depth 4DSOUND onboarding guide, and a dedicated introduction and troubleshooting session to support your use of the software.
- Documentation of your creation process during the workshop: visual materials, spatial audio recordings, and stereo mixdowns of the piece you create, perfect for your portfolio.
- Inclusion of your work in the 4DSOUND archive, with the possibility for it to be presented at other locations.
- Lunch and snacks provided each day during the workshop, plus dinner on the first evening.
