ARCA at The Bourse de Commerce – Pinault Collection, Paris
Building on the success of the Mutant;Destrudo project, 4DSOUND partnered with the iconic experimental multidisciplinary artist ARCA for her solo show, The Light Comes in the Name of the Voice, at the Bourse de Commerce – Pinault Collection.
ARCA presented two improvisations on a magnetically resonating piano, spatialized live by Poul Holleman, director and co-founder of 4DSOUND, with the spatial sound design tailor-made for the magnificent Rotunda Hall of the Bourse de Commerce.
In addition to these performances, The Light Comes in the Name of the Voice showcased a unique exhibition of ARCA’s paintings, culminating in a spectacular club night with performances by Björk, Bobby Beethoven, DJ Babatr, and Nkisi.
“They are rare, these concerts that change a life. The ones from which we emerge with trembling legs, unsure of being able to return home, as each of our movements requires an immense effort. This is more or less the state in which Arca left us this Saturday, March 2, 2024…” – Vouge France (Translated)
